Barclays has refurbished its Cambridge Eagle Lab to provide support for high-growth climate tech startups. The redesigned facility incorporates carbon reduction technologies and aims to achieve a 90% reduction in carbon emissions compared to 2018. The lab has increased capacity for up to 130 people and will act as a centre of excellence for startups focused on climate change solutions. The renovation includes expanded collaboration space and a dedicated area to showcase climate tech technologies and businesses supported by Barclays. The bank has positioned itself to guide clients towards net-zero goals and invest in climate tech for economic growth and job creation.
