Bill Crager exiting Envestnet as CEO amidst FinTech Futures shake-up

Bill Crager, the co-founder of US-based managed solutions service provider Envestnet, will step down from his role as CEO on 31 March 2024. He plans to transition to the role of senior advisor and will work alongside the executive vice president and board chair on client and partner relationships and strategic initiatives. James Fox, the current board chair, will serve as interim CEO while the company searches for a permanent successor.

Envestnet offers wealth management, financial planning, and data and analytics solutions. The company has $5.4tn in client assets as of Q3 2023 and counts many large US banks, wealth management firms, and brokerage firms among its clients.
