Unger brings over two decades of leadership experience in the financial services industry, with previous positions at Merrill Lynch, UBS Investment Bank, and Falcon Private Bank, as well as technology firm Avaloq. In his new role, Unger will lead the company’s efforts to deliver software-as-a-service products to banks and financial organizations amid the growing adoption of cloud technologies.

Unger’s appointment comes as part of the company’s C-suite expansion, following the recent appointment of Raouf Mhenni as Chief Commercial Officer. Sopra Banking Software has been working with more than 1,500 financial institutions in over 100 countries since 2012 to digitize their operations. The company’s core solutions, Sopra Banking Platform and Sopra Financing Platform, enable organizations to introduce cloud-based capabilities at scale without disrupting existing infrastructures. Unger will work alongside CEO Eric Bierry to oversee client service delivery and drive growth in the SaaS and larger technology markets.
